Guvane leads through a forest along the border of the Djerdap National Park, passing by numerous viewpoints with a beautiful view of the Golubac Fortress, the Djerdap Gorge, Djerdap Lake and Romanian riverside.<\/p><p>The starting point of the trail is Dedine, a suburb of Golubac. Following the localities of Velika \u010cuka, Ljiljar, Veliki Izvor and Kriva Lipa, which is the highest point (almost 500 m a.s.l.), the trail descends to Bunar, Kru\u0161evica, Rakita and Guvane localities. The length of the trail is 10 km. It is marked by signposts and mountaineering signs. This 8790 m long trail, used for hiking and cycling, follows the bank of the Danube. The trail leads through the hills above the Golubac Fortress and it includes rare species of plants, tall and short trees and shrubs of lilacs, smoke-tree, hornbeam and ash, with fragments of thermophile oak, beech and walnut forests.<\/p><p>Still, this area is dominated by lilac and smoke-tree that give the trail a special beauty \u2013 lilac in the spring, and smoke-tree in the fall when the surrounding hills turn fiery red. The area that the trail weaves through is especially rich with herbs and spices, 46 of which are rare protected species. Among them, singled out are ramsons, marsh-mallow, sweet flag, common centaury, asarabacca, silver thistle and cornelian
