Cycling EuroVelo 6
“Euro Velo 6” Route connects the Atlantic coast with the Black Sea, and a part of this route which follows the Danube is called Danube Bike Path (DBR, Donauradweg) which aso follows the river flow starting from Budapest all the way to its delta.
A part of Route 6 passing through Serbia is 667 km long. Entire Danube Bike Path in Serbia is marked with road signs in accordance with the European Cyclists’ Federation standards.
Recommendation: cycling ascent to the viewpoint on ”Ploče”, a cliff above the Danube. This is another of most attractive experiences on the Serbian river flow. From the point С ”Ploče” (23.8 km) across the small viewpoint to the main viewpoint of ”Ploče” there is somewhat more than 3km, first over a macadam road which steeply rises into the woods and ends with a walking trail.
Note: viewpoints are in the zone of special protection by Djerdap NP; therefore, prior to coming, administration of the National Park in Donji Milanovac should be informed about this in advance.
