European Geoparks Week in the Djerdap Geopark

As part of the celebration of European Geoparks Week, and in cooperation with the Museum in Majdanpek, an exhibition dedicated to the archaeological site of Rudna Glava—one of the most significant prehistoric copper mines in Europe—has been set up at the premises of the Djerdap Geopark.

Climatic changes in Geopark Đerdap

A workshop on climate change was held in the Đerdap Geopark to mark International Mother Earth Day. The participants were fifth-grade students from “Vuk Karadžić” Primary School in Donji Milanovac.

Hiking campaign “Spring at Beli Izvorac”

Geopark Đerdap was pleased to support the hiking campaign “Spring at Beli Izvorac”, organized by the Mountaineering Club “Starica”. This event, among other things, served as an opportunity to mark the World Water Day, which emphasized the importance of preserving natural resources and heritage.

Celebration Geodiversity Day in Đerdap National Park and Đerdap UGGp was organized in PE “Djerdap National Park” with a workshop for children about volcanoes. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Conserving The Past – Sustaining The Future”, which emphasizes the importance of proper management of natural resources in order to ensure a healthy and sustainable planet for future generations.
