At the headquarters of PE “Djerdap National Park” in Donji Milanovac, Djerdap UNESCO Global Geopark and the Geological Survey of Serbia signed a cooperation agreement on 27.12.2022.
On December 14, the Workshop Souvenirs of the Djerdap UNESCO World Geopark was held in the hall of JP “Djerdap National Park”. The production of souvenirs in the area of Djerdap Geopark, and above all in the Djerdap National Park, has a long tradition, and apart from individual producers, souvenirs were also made by entrepreneurs, entire families, and women’s associations.

On October 31st, a photo exhibition ” Djerdap Geopark” – Journey through the first and so far the only geopark in Serbia, was opened in the Gallery of the Culture Center “Majdanpek” in Majdanpek. The gathered visitors were greeted by Dijana Injac, gallerist, on behalf of the “Majdanpek” Cultural Center.
On October 14, pupils of the 7th and 8th grades of the “Branko Radicević” Elementary School from Golupac visited the photo exhibition “Djerdap Geopark – A journey through the first and only geopark in Serbia”, which is located in the “Veljko Dugošević” National Library in Golubac.
The International Disaster Risk Reduction Day, October 13, was celebrated by the Manager of Djerdap Geopark, PE “Djerdap National Park” with a lecture on Natural hazards in the area of Djerdap Geopark, which was attended by representatives of PUK “Donji Milanovac”, Culture Center Donji Milanovac, TOO Majdanpek, Majdanpek Technical School, Department in Donji Milanovac, “Agrar Poreč” Donji Milanovac and others.
The International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, October 13, has been celebrated since 1989, when the United Nations General Assembly decided to promote a global culture of awareness of risk and disaster reduction.
On the occasion of Geodiversity Day, children from Preschool “Marija Munćan” from Donji Milanovac attended an interactive workshop on dinosaurs on October 7th. Lecture, discussion and game Find the way to the food for the dinosaur, conducted by a geologist of the National Park.
