We are proud to announce that Djerdap Geopark has successfully undergone the evaluation process and has been awarded the “Green Card,” thereby confirming its status within the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network for the next four-year period, from 2026 to 2029.
Participation in the 53rd Meeting of the European Geoparks Network
Representatives of the UNESCO Global Geopark Djerdap participated in the 53rd meeting of the Coordination Committee Council of the European Geoparks Network, held from March 23 to 26, 2026, at the Karawanken-Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark, together with colleagues from UNESCO Global Geoparks across Europe.
World Water Day in Djerdap National Park and Djerdap UGGp
World Water Day was marked by an educational workshop dedicated to the importance of water and the preservation of aquatic ecosystems.Through the lecture, students had the opportunity to learn more about the significance of water for life on Earth, as well as about the waters within the Park itself.
International Day of Forests in Djerdap National Park and Djerdap Geopark
On the occasion of International Day of Forests, Djerdap National Park and Djerdap Geopark, in cooperation with the Institute of Forestry Belgrade, carried out a tree-planting initiative involving more than 1,000 sessile oak seedlings as part of project activities aimed at improving forest ecosystems.
