European Geoparks Network (EGN) Coordination Committee Meeting in Paris
The 51st Meeting of the Council of the Coordinating Board of the European Geoparks Network was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris from March 5 to 6, 2025. The meeting was attended by representatives of 109 geoparks from 28 countries, including official representatives of the UNESCO World Geopark Đerdap.

Revalidation mission on the territory of the Djerdap UNESCO Global Geopark
From July 19 to 23, 2023, a revalidation mission was carried out on the territory of the Djerdap UNESCO Global Geopark. This area received the important quality mark, “UNESCO Global Geopark”, in 2020 and is the first and, for now, the only UNESCO Global Geopark in Serbia.
Notice about Boljetinska River Canyon
Among the protected geoheritage sites, not only in the area of Djerdap Geopark, the Boljetinska Reka Canyon stands out for its attractiveness. After the recent floods, the Boljetinska River swelled from the rains, destroyed the embankment, undermined the road and carried it downstream into the Danube in the largest part along the profile.
